David was born in in 1983, Fortaleza, CE, Brazil. In 1995, at age 12, he started practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fell in love with the gentle art. His passion became his path and he hasn't being away from the mats ever since. In 2010 - now living in Athens, Greece -  he got promoted to the so awaited rank of Black Belt under professors Fernando Soluço and Fabio Gurgel. David is one of the pioneers of the sport in Greece. He is an active competitor  and holder of multiple national and international titles.
